Gail M. Smuczerowicz, 78, of Crescent City passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Streator.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23rd at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Monday, December 22nd at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Orland Park, Illinois.

  Born November 11, 1947 in Chicago she was the daughter of Emil and Betty (Kimball) Feddeler. She married Roger John Smuczerowicz on April 12, 1969. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2022.

  She is survived by a daughter, Amy (Jim) Waitekus of Streator; a son, Adam (Chris) Smuczerowicz of Ottawa; grandchildren, Joanna Savickas, Jimmy Waitekus, Zachary (Sonia) Waitekus and Jakob (Sarah) Waitekus; great grandchildren, Mikey Mance, Lily Savickas, Amy Waitekus, Isaak Waitekus, Ezra Waitekus, Ariel Waitekus, Skyler Gail Waitekus and one great grand baby on the way; a twin sister, Linda Loomis of Eldorado Springs, Missouri and Judy (Vince) Tuttle of Bolingbrook; and brothers, Emil Feddeler of Mazon and Bill (Debbie) Feddeler of Mazon.

  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

  She was born in Chicago and was raised in Chicago and Palos Heights.  She lived through the years in Tinley Park and Crescent City.

  She worked for many years as a bus driver and custodian.  She also owned and operated Alliance Ambulance.

  She was of the Catholic faith and belonged to St. George Catholic Church in Tinley Park.

  Memorials may be directed to charity of the donor’s choice.
