George Scott

George E. Scott, 60, of Streator passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Private family burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park at a later date.

Born March 22, 1961 in Dwight he was the son of Charles and Marilyn (Kennedy) Scott.

He is survived by sons, Matthew (Linda Robertson) Scott of Streator and Dakota (Faith Yurko) Mesarchik of Streator; daughters, Jessica (Andrew) Wargo of Bloomington, Deana (William Overocker III) Mesarchik of Streator and Danielle (Kevin) Schnaiter of Setonville; his mother, Marilyn Scott of Streator; 20 grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Richard) Bay of Streator and Kristine Uhren of Streator; several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Dalton Mesarchik; a daughter, Danielle Marshall; and brothers, Arthur and Walter Scott.

George worked for many years for Double R Manufacturing as a welder and jack of all trades.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and just being in the outdoors. He also loved sports of all kinds and enjoyed watching the Cubs, Bears and Bulls.
