Helen S. Curatolo, 90, of Streator passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at her residence in Streator surrounded by her loving family.

  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 5th at St. Vincent’s Catholic Cemetery in LaSalle.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born May 23, 1934 in LaSalle she was the daughter of Andrew and Stella (Rydz) Leszczynski.  She married Louis M. Curatolo on May 31, 1952.

  She is survived by her husband, Louis Curatolo of Streator; daughters, LuAnn Crone of Wenona and Susan Stimpson of Farmington, Missouri; grandchildren, Laura (Joe) Klipsch of Grover, Missouri, Jeff (Kelli) Crone of Dana, Catherine Sluder of Farmington, Missouri and Joseph Stimpson of Farmington, Missouri; great grandchildren, Paige and Justin Klipsch; Alyssa Stimpson, Savannah Sluder, Hailey Branscum; and Eliott and Hank Crone.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Louis D. Curatolo; sisters, Anne Ninos, Sally Mueller, Charlotte Barron, Josephine Hyson, Mary Mrowicki, Florence Mueller and Evelyn McClure; and brothers, Andy, Stanley, John and Casimir “Biki” Leszczynski.

  Born and raised in LaSalle she attended local schools.  She later attended St. Joseph’s Commercial School.

  She worked at Kroger’s through the years until her retirement.

  She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  A loving wife, mother and grandmother Helen enjoyed spending time with family and especially the special time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed crafting, sewing and tending to her beautiful flower garden.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
