Helen B. Johnson, 81, of Streator passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the ARC of Streator.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.

  Born February 8, 1944 in Sandwich, Illinois she was the daughter of Jerome and Janice (Courtright) Hollenback.  She married Robert D. Johnson on July 3, 1964 at the First United Methodist Church in Millbrook. 

  Surviving is her husband, Robert D. Johnson of Streator; a son, Robert D. (Desiree) Johnson of Streator; grandchildren, Robert D. (Marissa) Johnson of Dexter, Missouri, Alden (Melissa) Johnson of Somerset, Wisconsin, Nathan (Maggie) Johnson of Muncie, Indiana and Alina (Beau) Carpenter of Seneca; great grandchildren, Nadia, David, Toby, Ivy and Salem; and her sister, Sharon Skwerski of Westfield, Indiana.

  She was preceded in death by her parents.

  Born and raised in the Millbrook area she attended local grade schools and graduated from Newark High School.  She later attended Illinois Wesleyan College.

  She was of the Methodist faith.

  Helen was a very artistic person and enjoyed painting.  She gave Art lessons in her home in Millbrook for many years.  Helen and her husband enjoyed many summers in their cabin in Babbitt, Minnesota.
