J.C. Griffith Jr.

  J. C. Griffith Jr.,52, of Streator passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Ottawa.

  Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. 

  Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.  Cremation rites will be accorded.

  Born October 31, 1969 in Streator, he was the son of J.C. and Emma (Wilkerson) Griffith Sr.  He married Connie Hoskins on June 26, 1998.

  He is survived by his wife, Connie Griffith, of Streator; son, Jeremy Hoskins of Kangley; sister, Sheryl (Tom) Stasko of Cadiz, Kentucky; brother, Steve (Ceara) Griffith of Austin, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Born and raised in Streator, J.C. attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1988.  He worked as a security guard for Allied Universal in Ottawa.

  J.C. was an avid Chicago Cubs, John Wayne and wrestling fan, especially the local Powerhouse Wrestling.  He enjoyed bowling and playing softball for the Streator Unlimited softball team.  He was also active with the Special Olympics through Streator Unlimited and really enjoyed Cruise Night in Streator.
