Jack C. Darling, Sr.

  Jack C. Darling, Jr., 83, of Streator passed away Satuday, December 30, 2023 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation in Streator.

  There will be no services.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born August 12, 1940 in Streator he was the son of Jack C. Darling, Sr. and Ila (Elmore).

  He is survived by sons, Jack C. “J.C.” (Wendy Redd) Darling, III of Grand Ridge and Michael (Erica) Darling of Ottawa; grandchildren, Jade, Chance, Nicholas, Andrew and Dakota Darling; great grandchildren, Emma Whitney, Aria Darling and Logan Darling; a sister, Penny (Gene) Darling-Fenwick of Streator.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended Grant School and Streator High School.

  He served in the United Army during the Vietnam War. 

  He worked for Owens Illinois for many years in the Corrugated Department.
