James T. “Zudy” Dzurisin, 84, of Streator passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2nd at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday, March 2nd at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Born June 23, 1939 in Streator, he was the son of John and Veronica (Sabol) Dzurisin. He married Dianne C. Drapp on July 20, 1963 at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Dzurisin of Streator; sons, Kirk Dzurisin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Dave Dzurisin of Zionsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Margaret Dzurisin of San Antonio, Texas, Abby (Nick) Siegwarth of Zionsville, Indiana, Hayden Dzurisin of East Troy, Wisconsin, Molly Dzurisin of Zionsville, Indiana, Weston Dzurisin of Palatine and Eliza Dzurisin of Davenport, Iowa; brothers, Robert Dzurisin of Homer Glen and Jack (Karyn) Dzurisin of Streator; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Streator High School class of 1957.
He served in the United States Army from 1957-1961.
He worked for RR Donnelly’s for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church. He was also a long time member of the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council # 790 and the Streator Elk’s Club.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
