James “Jim” A. Parcher, passed peacefully on Sunday March 13th 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jim was born in Streator on February 9, 1948, to Alberta (Rush) Parcher and Clayton Parcher Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Clayton Parcher Jr., and a son Jason Parcher.

He is survived by 4 children; Jill Fraser,  Jeff Parcher (Bobbi), Aaron Parcher (Liz) , and Sadie Parcher-Murley (Jared), and sister Karen Johnson.  Also, two former wives and best friends, Diana and Georgene whom gave support and care through his cancer fight.

Jim graduated Streator high school in 1966 and went on to a career with ComEd as a lineman and crew leader with 38 years of service.  Jim held Union Stewardship at local 1496 and local 15.

Jim was a proud father of Jill, Jeff, Jason, Aaron, and Sadie. He was also a proud grandparent to 10 grandchildren, Blake, Jacob, Colton, Addison, Tanner, Carver, Chloe, Jaxon, Remi, Mila, and great grandson Conrad.

Jim loved all outdoor activities, especially maintaining his property and pond.  He always had a “project” going as a retiree.  He had a particular love for Labradors Retrievers. Jim was once an avid hunter, but grew a new perspective and place in his heart for wild-life as he aged.  He also served on the Eagle School Board from 1976-1980

Jim and his family send a special thanks and gratefulness to Dr. Winter and Oncology team of Northwestern Memorial (Chicago), and Dr. Gertsner and team of Illinois Cancer Care (Peru).
