James L. "Bubba" Preston

  James L. “Bubba” Preston, 62, of Streator passed away Friday, March 10, 2022 at his residence in Streator.

  Cremation rites will be accorded.  Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born July 4, 1960, James was the son of Clayton and Helen (Slack) Preston.

  He is survived by his daughters, Jenna Preston, Kaylee (Dylan) Hovious of Streator; brothers, Clayton (Mary) Preston of Streator, Steve Preston of Kewanee, Joe (Dianne) Preston of Streator; a grandchild and several nieces.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Helen Preston.

  Born in Streator, he attended St. Anthony’s Grade School and Streator High School.  Over the years, James lived in California, Florida and New York.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing Bingo.
