James E. Rinaldi

James E. Rinaldi, Jr., 74, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence in Ottawa.

Private funeral services have been held. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born September 5, 1946 in Ottawa he was the son of James and Marjorie (Rinkenberger) Rinaldi. He married Judith Ann Rix on August 16, 1965 in Washburn, Illinois. She preceded him in death on November 12, 2005.

He is survived by a son, Jimmy (Mary Quaka) Rinaldi; daughters, Julia Burnor and Dawn (Gary) McCormick; grandchildren, Reese and Riley Rinaldi; Chandler McCormick and Courtney Burnor; and a brother, Rodney Van DeVeer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Jim attended Marquette High School and lived most of his lifetime in the Ottawa area.

He worked for Caterpiller in Aurora for 30 years until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Francis Church in Ottawa and the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed fishing and collecting and shooting his guns. He also enjoyed painting.
