Jane A. Kettman

Jane A. Kettman, 72, of Streator passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her residence in Streator.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Fr. Ryan Mattingly will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.

Born July 4, 1948 in Streator she was the daughter of John and Margaret (Churney) Kettman.

She is survived by a sister, Judy Whalen of Streator; a brother, John (Jonelle) Kettman of Grand Rapids, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Theresa) Kettman of Lake Orion, Michigan, Kathy (Paul) Telford of Pontiac, Troy (Karen) Whalen of Grayslake and Terry (Chris) Whalen of Bloomington; 10 great nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and Woodland High School.

She worked for Streator National Bank, which later became First Midwest Bank right out of high school. She worked there for over 20 years becoming the head Bookkeeper. She later took a position in Rockford with a group home for children where she worked in Bookeeping as well. After her retirement in Rockford she moved back to Streator.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church through the years.

Jane was very family orientated and her siblings and her nieces and nephews meant the world to her. She enjoyed spending time with them and attending there many activities. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
