Janet L. Harris, 67, of Streator passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 29th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Friday, December 29th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be her son, Matt Harris; nephew, Jason Telford; cousin, Norm Eggleston; brother in law, Jeff Harris; Jeff Harlan, Anthony Jennings and Jarrett McReynolds.
Born August 7, 1956 in Streator she was the daughter of William and Mildred (Eggleston) Telford. She married Gary Harris on June 19, 1981 in Streator.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Harris of Streator; a daughter, Allie (Jeff Harlan) Harris of Streator; her son, Matt Harris of Streator; grandchildren, Gracie Rhodes, Ryder Martin, Reese Harlan and Ember Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Slater and her brother and sister in law, John and Christine Telford.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Anthony Grade School and Streator High School.
She had previously worked for Owens Brockway, the City of Streator Public Pool and worked as a waitress in various restaurants.
Janet’s family was everything to her. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved the family trips to Indiana Beach that they took every summer. She also loved the Christmas season and decorating her home and spoiling her family with gifts. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
Memorials may be directed to charity of the donor’s choice.
