Jean Harrison

Jean Harrison, 99, of Streator passed away January 21, 2021 at Liberty Village in Streator with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be private. Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Born on July 20, 1921 in Beardsley, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Peter and Helena (Alfter) Brown. She married William J. Harrison on October 9, 1943 in Fort Scott, California. He preceded her in death in October 3, 1986.

She is survived by her sons, William (Peggy) Harrison of Princeton and Robert (Mary) Harrison of Streator; a granddaughter Jennifer (David) Irvin of Streator; great granddaughters, Taylor and Laci Irvin of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Frances Hunter and brothers, James and William Brown.

Jean attended Ransom Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1939. She worked for the Bruce Township office, retiring in 1984, after 23 years of service. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Michael the Archangel Church in Jean’s name.
