Joanne Lorraine “Rudy” Weth, 86, formerly of Streator, passed away September 30, 2024, in Pontiac, Illinois.

  Private graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born on May 21, 1938, she was the daughter of Francis Leo and Veronica Clare (Yuhas) Crawford. She graduated from Woodland High School. Prior to marriage, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital and Shoup Insurance Agency. She married John Michael Weth on January 14, 1961.

  She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, her parents, siblings, and son-in-law. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Weth (Joseph Gluski) of Bellevue, MI, and son, Dave (Dena) Weth of Normal, IL, granddaughters, Jordan Weth and Sidney Weth, and several nieces and nephews.

  Rudy enjoyed reading, crafting, romance novels, the Hallmark movie channel, Slovak rolls, St. Patrick’s Day, and the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed a decades-long Yahtzee tournament with her husband, Mike.

  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
