John G. “Jack” Pieper, 62, of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of Streator passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 in Mesa, Arizona.

  There will be no funeral services.  Burial of ashes will be in Southside Cemetery in Pontiac.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born September 6, 1962 in Streator he was the son of John and Carol (Novotney) Pieper.

  He is survived by is father, John “Jim” Pieper of Streator; a sister, Kim (Ron) Dankenbring of Streator; a stepsister, Carmen (Jim) Clapp of Oglesby; stepbrothers, Craig (Debbie) Handzo of Streator and Jeff (Kelly) Brennan of Scottsdale, Arizona; aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Handzo; stepmother, Ruth Pieper and stepfather, Craig M. Handzo.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. 

  He served in the United States Navy.

  He moved to Arizona 43 years ago.  While in Arizona he worked in Construction.

  He was an avid Arizona Cardinal fan.  He was a superfan fan and held season tickets.  He also loved exploring Ghost towns and camping in the desert.

  Jack was an independent person who lived life his own way.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family.
