Judith Traeger

Judith A. Traeger, 76, of Streator passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her residence in Streator surrounded by her loving family.

Private family burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.

The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born August 4, 1943 in Streator she was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Lenhausen) Potter. She married Donald W. Traeger Sr. on August 2, 1967 at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator. He survives in Streator.

She is also survived by a daughter, Nicole (Tim) Geary of Streator; a son, Donald (Melinda) Traeger Jr., of Florida; grandchildren, Tristen Geary of Streator, Donald (Jacqueline) Traeger III of Florida and Elizabeth Traeger of Texas; a great grandson, Jaxon Traeger of Flordia; and her loyal dog, Patches.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father, Gene Bell.

Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1961.

She worked for many years for Owens Illinois Glass Company in the Selecting Department until her retirement in 2003.

Judy loved working in her yard and antiquing along with her husband.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend that will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the any Pet Shelter, Fr. Scott Donahue of the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls or Wounded Warrior Project.
