June E. Verdiramo

  June E. Verdiramo, 81, of Streator passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 8th at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.

  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born June 5, 1942 in Streator she was the daughter of Donald and Mary (Barnett) Huckins.

  She is survived by sons, Matt Verdiramo of Streator and Michael Verdiramo of Streator; grandchildren, Whitney (Jeff Emm) Verdiramo of Streator, Tanner (Cady) Verdiramo of Morris and Marcus (Victoria) Verdiramo of Streator; great grandchildren, Kiley Rhodes, Jackson Verdiramo, Hana Verdiramo, Stella Emm, Mia Verdiramo, Leon Verdiramo and Isabella Verdiramo; a sister in law, Ruth Huckins of Streator and a brother in law, Dean Wargo of Streator.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mark Verdiramo; a brother, Richard Huckins; and sisters, Barbara Wargo and Sandra Huckins-Barton.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School.  She lived in Streator her lifetime.

  She worked through the years for Rudy’s Grocery Store, Thrift T Mart and Food Expo.  She later worked for Kroger’s from where she retired.

  June was a long time member of Grace Community Church and became a born again Christian in 1982.  She loved her God, her church and loved being with the people of her church.

  The family would like to thank all who loved her, helped her and took care of her through the years.
