Karen A. Spraggon

  Karen A. Spraggon, 82, of Streator passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, Streator.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, May 13th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.  Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 13th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.

  Born December 20, 1940 in Streator, she was the daughter of John and Corynne (Connell) Spraggon.

  She is survived by sisters, Sue (Robert) Danko of Streator and Peggy DeVita of Villa Park, a brother, Jim (Kim) Spraggon of Streator and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Tom and Jack Spraggon.

  Born and raised in Streator, she attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1958.

  She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company for almost 44 years until her retirement.

  She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  She enjoyed reading books and doing crossword puzzles through the years.  She also adored her little puppies Mitzy and Buttercup.

  Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Society, Streatorland Food Pantry or the Guardian Angel Outreach.
