Katelyn Durbin Obituary

Katelyn “Katy” S. Durbin, 30, of Streator passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Face coverings will be required and social distancing practices will be followed at the funeral home.

Born March 25, 1990 in Pontiac she was the daughter of Dan and Tina (Dunkleberger) Durbin.

She is survived by her children, Robbie, Leelynd, Arayah, Aaliyah and Rylee; her father, Dan (Lisa) Durbin of Streator; her mother, Tina (Lester) Einhaus of Pontiac; siblings, Cassandra, Austin, Tristina, Jayonnah and Chase Einhaus; Nicholas, Blake and Parker Libby; maternal grandmother, Betty Dunkleberger of Streator; maternal, grandfather, Bill Dunkleberger of Streator; also, Todd and Theresa Mackey of Long Point and John and Diane Rzasa of Ransom; and Sara and Billy Burgess her very good friends, who were always there for her; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Erman and Gloria Durbin.

Born and raised in Pontiac she attended Pontiac Christian School and Woodland High School.

Katy was affiliated with the New Life Christian Church in Cornell and also attended different area churches.

She enjoyed fishing through the years and was very proud when her Volleyball team that made the State Tournament when she was in grade school.

Katelyn was born with a rare genetic disease, Xeroderma Pigmentosum. Doctor’s worried that Katy wouldn’t live a long life, but she was determined to live the life she had. Katy wanted children and although most people stricken with XP don’t live long enough to have kids she was blessed with 5 beautiful children. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and cousin and will be greatly missed by her loving family.
