Kathleen M. Piraino

  Kathleen M. Piraino, 69, of Streator passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at her residence in Streator.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 3rd at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 3rd at the funeral home.

  Cremation rites will be accorded.

  Born October 2, 1953 in Streator she was the daughter of George and Catherine (Grzonka) Cherveny.  She was previously married to Richard Scott.  He survives in Ottawa.  She later married Lawrence Piraino on April 1, 2006 in Key West, Florida.  He preceded her in death on June 9, 2019.

  She is survived by her son, Bryan Scott of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a step-daughter, Melissa Sheridan of Streator; step-grandchildren, Andrew Benner and Kaitlyn Sheridan; her siblings, Carol (Bernard) Wysocki of Fontana, Wisconsin; Clarence Cherveny of Streator; Ron Cherveny of Raleigh, North Carolina and  George (Irina) Cherveny of Lacrosse, Wisconsin.  

  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.

  She worked for many years for Office Max from where she retired.

  Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
