Kerry D. Bruck, 63, of Streator passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at his residence.

  Private family services will be held.  Private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. 

  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born November 25, 1961 in Streator he was the son of Edward and Jolene (Trenor) Bruck.  He married Jamie Schmitt on October 20, 1984 in Streator.

  He is survived by his wife, Jamie Bruck of Streator; a son, Colin (Yana) Bruck of Aurora; a daughter, Lauren (Ryan) Thomas of Streator; grandsons, Dean and Leo Thomas; a brother, Michael (Michelle) Bruck of California; and brothers in law, Brian (Lori) Schmitt of Streator; Mark Schmitt of Greenville, Wisconsin and Scott Schmitt of Streator.

  He was preceded in death by his father.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1979.  He later attended Illinois Valley Community College.

  He worked for RR Donnelly’s for 37 years as a Supervisor.  He later worked as Warehouse Supervisor for US Foods.

  Kerry was a local historian and loved sharing the history of Streator via Facebook.  He enjoyed model trains and had an extensive collection.  He also loved muscle cars and treated himself to a Dodge Challenger after his retirement.  At the age of 13, Kerry starting working and saving his money to make payments, and eventually purchasing his prized possession 1969 GTO Judge.  His biggest passion however was his family and especially his grandsons.  He was the most wonderful husband, father and Papa and his family was his whole world.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family.
