Linda M. Handzus, 75, of Streator passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at O.S.F. St. James Medical Center in Pontiac surrounded by her loving family.

  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 12th at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Streator.

  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born June 13, 1950 in Kentucky she was the daughter of Jess and Pearl (Kerr) Hodges.  She married the love of her life, John R. Handzus on June 25, 1976.  He preceded her in death on December 24, 2024.

  She is survived by daughters, Veronica (Dave) Roberts and Angie (Troy) Dodge; three granddaughters, Heather (Dustin) Donohue, Rachel (Mike) Jabczynski and Shawn (Fritz) Palko; two grandsons, Cody and Connor Dodge; three great grandsons, Logan, Jasper and Milo Jabczynski; and a sister, Norma Hodges of Kentucky; nieces, Stephanie Cottrell and Krista (Daniel) Juberg; a nephew, Brian Hodges; a grand-niece, Addy Ann; grand-nephews, Timmy Duvall, Skyler Cottrell; Zane, Mason, Grant and Judah Juberg

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Johnny; and brothers, Jeff (Charlotte) Hodges and Bobby Hodges; and a nephew, Owen Cottrell.

  Born is Snap, Kentucky she was raised in the Long Point and Ancona areas.  She attended local schools.

  She was employed by the Motorola factory in Pontiac before becoming a homemaker and raising three children.

  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator.

  Linda enjoyed visiting her family in Kentucky and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  She will be remembered for her love of God, family, pets, and her contagious laugh.

  She was a friend to everyone and never left a room without wishing everyone a blessed day.

  Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
