Lois M. Lithgow

Lois M. Lithgow, 89, of Streator passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Streator.

Funeral services for Lois will be private. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born October 29, 1931 in Ohio, she was the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Crehan) Lane. She married Robert M. Lithgow on November 17, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2004.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, William (Lee) Atherton of Suwanee, Georgia, Julie Atherton of Phoenix, Arizona, Amy Atherton of Brooksville, Florida, Tyler Chismarick of Schaumburg, Illinois and Anna Atherton of Suwanee, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a sister, Joan Lane.

She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Waller High School in 1949. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

She worked for many years for St. Mary’s Hospital as a switchboard operator.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
