Lorenzo Ramos, Jr., 75, of Streator passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services.

The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born March 22, 1944 in Elsa, Texas he was the son of Lorenzo and Juanita (Galvan) Ramos. He was formerly married to Gloria Jimenez Ramos.

He is survived by children, Lorenzo Ramos III, Cynthia Ramos, Christopher Ramos and Elizabeth Ramos; siblings, Angelita Rebecca Vickers, Hector Ramos, Maria Irene Ramos, Juan M. Ramos, Richard Ramos and Antonia Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Arturo Ramos, Sylvia Ramos and Ernesto (Neto) Ramos.

He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam era. He was honorably discharged in 1968.

He spent 25 years as a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Driver/Supervisor retiring in 2007.

He was a lifelong resident of Illinois in Streator and Chicago.
