Lorna J. Sibert

September 12, 1965 ~ February 19, 2021 (age 55)

Lorna J. Sibert, 55, of Ransom passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at her residence in Ransom.

There will be no services.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born September 12, 1965 in Gary, Indiana she was the daughter of Lester and Jackie (Kuhn) Craven.  She married Virgel Sibert on June 4, 1983 in Ransom.

She is survived by her husband Virgel Sibert of Ransom; a daughter, Halie Sibert of Ransom; sons, Jacob Sibert of Ransom and Cody (Hannah) Sibert of Streator; her mother, Jackie (Carl Proctor) Craven of Gary, Indiana; grandchildren, Kaden, Zerek, Paisley, McKinley and Landrey Sibert; and a sister, Delores (Russell) Turner of Ransom.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Craven.

Through the years she lived in Gary, Zion, Dwight and Ransom areas.  She graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1983.

She worked in banking most of her life having been a branch manager for Benchmark Bank and Streator Onized Credit Union.

Lorna and Virgel shared a love that was an inspiration to all. The first buds blossomed as far back as middle school. In 38 years of marriage they made some beautiful memories. True to life they faced a lot of trials, but their love and their marriage only became stronger because of them.  Together they raised 3 children, all of which became amazing adults due to the wonderful and loving parents they were.

Lorna had an abundance of love in her heart, and she showered her family and friends with it. She was a rock to all and the void she has left will be impossible to fill.

In lieu of flowers or donations we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or family member as time waits for no one.
