Marcella Rodrick Obituary

  Marcella R. “Mickey” Rodrick, 95, of Streator passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the ARC of Streator.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 13th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 13th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

  Born August 30, 1930 in Wenona she was the daughter of Leo and Rose (Stenzel) Jaegle.  She was formerly married to Donald J. Lutz.  He preceded her in death on December 14, 2002.  She later married Thomas Rodrick on December 31, 1984.  He preceded her in death on April 8, 2010.

  She is survived by daughters, Linda Thierer of Washburn, Barbara (John) Widmer of Whitestown, Indiana and Sandi (Gary) Lenhausen of Lostant; sons, Jim Lutz of LaRose and Donnie (Lisa) Lutz of Rogersville, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Lutz; and sisters, Florence Streit and Marie Donze.

  Born and raised in the Wenona area she attended local schools and graduated from Wenona High School.

  She worked through the years as a waitress for Club La-Con and Janney’s Restaurants.  She later worked for Anderson Field’s Golf Course and the City of Streator from where she retired.

  She was active through the years along with her husband Tom belonging to the V.F.W and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries, Streator Elk’s Club, Streator Moose Lodge and the Jim Beam Bottle Club.  She was also an active volunteer with Light Up Streator.

  Mickey enjoyed watching old Westerns on television, traveling, bowling and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed by her family.

  Memorials can be directed to charity of the donor’s choice.
