Margaret L. “Peggy” Flahaut, 74, of Streator passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her residence in Streator.

  Private services will be held.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born October 31, 1950 in Streator she was the daughter of Thomas B. and Louise (Sauers) Nagle.  She married Richard E. Flahaut.  He preceded her in death on August 18, 2013.

  She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Donahue of Streator; a grandson, Drew Donahue of Streator; a brother, Mike (Sherry) Nagle of Streator; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Nagle of Streator; nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas J. Nagle and a sister, Suzanne Krocker.

  Born and raised in Streator Peggy attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School. She later attended Illinois Valley Community College.

  She worked through the years for J’s Tire, Melvin Sales and also for Dick’s Floorcovering where she was currently working.

  She was active in the community through the years having served on the Streator City Council and volunteering for the Light Up Streator.

  She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
