Marian L. Estvanik, 89, of Streator passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her residence in Streator with her loving daughter by her side.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 P.M. Thursday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator. Rev. John Gutz will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be, Larry Manypenny, Tim Kerestes, Brian Kerestes, Pete Pastirik, David Kotches and John Bedeker. Honorary pallbearers will be Ruth Jacobs, Marilyn Quinn, Marie Fogarty, Nicki Clark, Joyce Riss and Julie Clasen.
Born August 19, 1931 in Streator she was the daughter of James and Ethel (Thompson) Manypenny. She married Norman E. Estvanik on September 26, 1953 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1991.
She is survived by a daughter, Geri Lynn Estvanik of Berwyn; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Marian was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, James, Harold and Donald Manypenny.
She attended Wilson Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1950.
She worked at Lipton Tea Company as a carton maker and inspector for 13 years.
She was a long time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school at the church. She was also an active member of the Mary Martha Society Sewing Circle, a board member of the Church Properties and volunteered in various other capacities including office support.
Marian was a talented seamstress and her artistic talents ranged from stained glass to her ceramic studio. She also made many unique and elaborate quilted wall hangings and quilts. She would also display some of her treasures at the annual Hobby Show. She loved Polka music and Ray’s Rockets. She very much enjoyed her weekly lunches with her high school class mates.
She will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.
