Marjorie R. Harcar

  Marjorie R. Harcar, 81, of Streator passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Goldwater Care in Pontiac.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 28th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.  Rev. Bill Callister will officiate.

  Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Wednesday, December 28th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

  Born April 28, 1941 in LaSalle she was the daughter of Raymond and Eva (Huczek) Imm.  She married Anthony W. “Tony” Harcar on April 8, 1988.  He preceded her in death on April 14, 2021.

  She is survived by her children, Julie (Mark) Northrup of O'Fallon, Missouri, Liz (Tom) Price of Streator, Cathleen (Mike) Bennett of Cornell and Jim (Terri) Robertson of Bel Air, Maryland; grandchildren, Constance Northrup, Mark Northrup II, Sarah Price, Stephanie Price, Christopher Sward, Johnathon Threat, Samantha Washington, Jacqueline Robertson and Joey Martin; 9 great grandchildren; step children, Cindy (Jeff) Hardgrove of Streator, Kris (David) Hagen of Aberdeen, Washington and Ron (Carrie) Harcar of Streator; 10 step- grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; sisters, Marcia (Robert) Johnson of Benson and Kathy (Bobby) Baldwin of Toluca.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Raymond Imm.

  Marjorie was raised in Toluca and attended Toluca Grade School and Toluca High School.

  She worked for many years for Streator Unlimited.  She worked with the clients to ensure they were able to have a productive work environment that they could learn and grow in.

  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir in her younger years.

  She was a master gardener and loved growing and maintaining her flower garden at home.  She was a member of the Garden Club.  She was also a talented artist and loved to paint.  Marjorie also enjoyed golfing with her friends and bowling through years.  She especially liked following her grandchildren through the years in their various activities and sporting events.

  Memorials may be directed to the American Parkinson’s Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
