Mark D. Kaschak

  Mark D. Kaschak, 61, of Streator passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his residence in Streator.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 16th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.  Msgr. Brian Brownsey will officiate.

  Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Monday, January 16th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

  Born October 6, 1961 in Streator he was the son of David and Elizabeth “Betty” (Lux) Kaschak.  He married Julie Watts on August 28, 1982 at St. Anthony Church in Streator.

  He is survived by his wife, Julie Kaschak of Streator; a daughter, Katie (Brian) Moore of Streator; a son, Jon (Sophi) Kaschak of Streator; and grandchildren, Hattie, Lorelei and Finleigh Kaschak; Mason and Zoey Moore.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Michael Kaschak.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1979.

  He worked for Commonwealth Edison (LaSalle Station) for 21 years.

  He was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  Mark was an avid Cubs fan and loved and adored his wife, children and grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family.

  Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
