Mark L. Soberri, 64, of Tonica passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

  Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, December 18th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Thursday, December 18th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born December 26, 1960 in Streator he was the son of Peter and Hazel (Bursott) Soberri.  He married Teresa Kosur on November 20, 1982. 

  He is survived by his wife, Teresa Soberri of Tonica; a daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Soberri of Tonica; his mother, Hazel Soberri of Tonica; his sister, Carol Sue Vargochik of Las Vegas; his brother, Joe Soberri of Tonica; nieces and nephews; and a very close friend Kevin Knecht.

  He was preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Patty Soberri and his brother-in-law, George Walker.

  Mark was raised in Wenona and attended Wenona Grade School and graduated from Wenona High School.

  He worked through the years for Ruff Brothers grain elevator in Wenona.  He was also a very proud volunteer with Leonore Volunteer Fire Department.

  Mark enjoyed going to auctions and searching for model cars.  He also loved watching the Andy Griffith show and his favorite movie was Forrest Gump.  He also enjoyed Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and attended a few of their concerts. 

  The family would like to thank the Gift of Hope for walking them through the process of organ donation for their beloved husband and father.
