Martha J. Neiggemann, 88, of Streator passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Arc of Streator.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 4th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Tuesday, followed by services at 11A.M.  February 4th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.

  Born August 4, 1936 in Streator she was the daughter of Oscar and Irene Holmes.  She married Patrick Neiggemann on June 4, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1990,

  She is survived by daughters, Patrice Ward of Streator, Carol Navarro of Streator and Christine (Robert) Von Ruden of Streator; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Harold and Clarence Holmes and a sister, Thelma Barry.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1954.

  Primarily a homemaker through the years she also worked for several years as a lunch monitor and also assisted disabled children on bus rides.

  She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Circle at the church; her faith was very important to her.  She was also active through the years as a Girl Scout leader.

  She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with family and friends and the color purple.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
