Mary J. (Bacha) Biros, 90, of Streator passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flanagan.

  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.

  Mary was born in Streator on September 18, 1934 to John and Mary (Letanowski) Bacha.  She married Dan Biros.

  She is survived by sons, Randy (Patty) Biros of Streator, Mike (Mary) Biros of Eureka; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dan; son, Dude; grandson Nigel; her loving sister Rita A. (Bacha) and her brother John Bacha.

  Throughout the years, Mary worked at Lipton Tea and as a nurse’s aid, in addition to being an avid babysitter.  Mary was known for her Hrudka, Rozek and her embroidered baby quilts that are being passed on to younger generations.

  Mary had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on her face.  She enjoyed sightseeing, crosswords, card games, gardening and good food. 

  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.  She will be greatly missed by all.
