Mary K. Currier, 72, of Streator and formerly of Nebraska passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at her residence in Streator.

  A Celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

  Born January 21, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska she was the daughter of Leslie and Rosemary (McMahon) Sabalka.  She married William R. Currier on July 25, 1970 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

  She is survived by her husband, William Currier of Streator; a daughter, Jen (Todd Sproule) Currier of Streator; a son, Paul (Anne) Currier of Sidney, Nebraska; a daughter in law, Angie Currier of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Conner, Ethan, Reece, Bailey and Hudson Currier; 3 brothers, 3 sisters and several nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Currier; 3 brothers in law and 1 sister in law.

  Raised in Lincoln, Nebraska she attended Lincoln grade schools and graduated from Lincoln High School.  She trained to become a Degree Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital.

  She worked as a Registered Nurse through the years in Newcastle, Wyoming, Sidney, Nebraska and retired from Great Plains Memorial Hospital in North Platte, Nebraska.

  She is of the Methodist faith.
