Mary Lou Johnson, 81, of Streator passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Aperion Care in Marseilles.
A Celebration of Mary Lou’s Life will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Streator Elk’s Club. Everyone knew how much she loved to bowl. Please come join us for a game and to remember the good times.
Private family burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.
The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born December 30, 1940 in Streator she was the daughter of John “Jack” and Norma (Kochis) Marx.
She is survived by daughters, Cindy (Brian) Burcar of Lostant and Laura (Jim) Kinkade of Streator; sons, John (Rene) Carter of Streator and Jason (Stacey) Lewis of Alton; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Dianne) Marx of The Villages, Florida and James (Nan) Marx of Pontiac.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School. She lived in Streator her lifetime.
She worked for many years for Owens Illinois Glass Company until her retirement. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church.
