Melissa K. Olson

  Melissa K. Olson, 51, of Streator passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

  Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.  Rev. Paul Webster will officiate.

  Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Cremation rites have been accorded.

  Born June 10, 1970 in Streator she was the daughter of Ronald and Betty (Blough) Olson.

  She is survived by her parents; Ronald and Betty Olson of Streator; sons, Logan Fink of Streator and Noah Fink of Streator; a daughter, Kelsi Fink of Streator; sisters, Michelle (Jeff) Spraggon of Tomahawk, Wisconsin and Melanie (Dave) Shelton of Streator; brothers, Jeremy Olson of Streator and Joshua (Melissa) Olson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; special lifelong friends, Allison Maubach and Hal Swartz; nieces and nephews, Caitlin  and Jeffery Spraggon of Wisconsin, Alyssa and Jacob Shelton of Streator, Rylee Olson of Streator and Joshua and Athena Olson of Wisconsin; great nephews, Quinton Shelton and Javyon  Edwards of Streator and Jordan Bryden of Wisconsin; aunts and uncles and cousins also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Zelda Blough and paternal grandparents, Leo Olson and Rosemary and Stanley Reynolds.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended Woodland High School and graduated in the class of 1988.  She received her C.N.A. certification from Illinois Valley Community College.

  Missy was a C.N.A and caretaker through the years having worked at Heritage Health and Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.

  Most important to Missy were her children and nieces and nephews.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  Being a caretaker was something she was very proud of and meant a lot to her.
