Michael D. Sirotnak

  Michael D. Sirotnak, 55, of Streator passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at O.S.F. Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 27th at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church.  Msgr. Brian Brownsey will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Thursday, October 26th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.  The rosary will be recited at 6:45 P.M.

  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  Pallbearers will be Michael Sirotnak, Jeff Studnicki, Michael Colter, Chad Simmons, Greg Johnson and Steve Martin.  Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Yuhas, Jack Graham, Jerry Persinger and Chad Swanson.

  Born June 28, 1968 in Streator, he was the son of Ronald J. “Doc” and Betty Jean (Hert) Sirotnak.  He married JoEll Sedlock on January 19, 2001 in Streator.

  He is survived by his wife JoEll Sirotnak of Streator; a son, Michael P. (Jaden Easton) Sirotnak of Streator; a sister, Cheri (Dan North) Studnicki of Streator; a nephew, Jeff (Gina) Studnicki of Streator; sisters and brothers in law, Jackie and Randy Gould of Jacksonville, Florida, Jyll Dite of New Lenox and Joseph and Kaye Sedlock of Streator; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother and father-in-law, Joseph Sr. and Doris Sedlock.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School in the class of 1986.

  He worked for Anchor Glass Company for several years until their closing.  He was currently working for Vactor Manufacturing as a fork lift operator and material handler.

  He was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  Mike was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, family gatherings, working in his yard and just being with his family.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family.
