Mildred "Millie" Evans

  Mildred “Millie” Evans, 92, of Streator passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at O.S.F St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

  Cremation rites will be accorded.  There will be no services.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1930, in Streator, she was the daughter of Alex and Mary (Bartko) Lesak. 
  She is survived by daughters, Cathy Olson of Streator, Jean Hoag of Streator; sons, Willie (Wanda Fialko) Evans of Streator, Mark “Duke” Evans of Glendale, Arizona; five grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren: and a sister, Theresa (Charles) Cassady of Plainfield.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael and Blaise Evans; a brother, George Lesak and her loveable puppy Dasie Mae.

  Born and raised in Streator, she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.

  Millie was of the Catholic faith.  She was a former member of St. Anthony’s Church and a current member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society.
