Neil H. Cox

  Neil H. Cox, 71, of Streator passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

  Funeral services will be held at a later date.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born December 28, 1950 in Streator he was the son of Richard and Irene (Kreier) Cox.  He married Teresa C. Trost on December 28, 1977.

  He is survived by his wife Teresa Cox of Streator; a daughter, Christy Treest of Streator; step-daughter, Tara Myers of Las Vegas; step-sons, Ryan Moore of Idaho and David Moore of Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Cox of Las Vegas and a sister, Sharon Harpster of Las Vegas.

  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Cox.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and Streator High School in the class of 1969.

  He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam era.  He served in Japan.

  He moved to Las Vegas in 1977 moving back to the area in 2019.  He worked as a Truck Driver for many years.

  He was a member and Deacon of the Integrity Fellowship Church in Las Vegas.  He was currently a member of the Open Bible Church.  He was also formerly a member of the VFW in Las Vegas.
