Norris D. Snow, 94, of Streator passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Good Samaritan Home in Pontiac.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Monday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Deacon Robb Caputo will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Monday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in Lostlands Cemetery in rural Streator. His grandchildren will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
The family requests that everyone who attends the services follows the State mask mandate and also wears their best John Deere apparel.
Born August 23, 1927 in Dana he was the son of Ernie and Hazel (Crossman) Snow. He married Margaret “Peg” Flanigan on April 18, 1949 at Eagle Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peg” Snow of Streator and currently residing at Good Samartian Home in Pontiac; daughters, Connie (John) Henkel of Streator and Judy (Phil) Verchimak of Streator; sons, Dan (Mary Beth) Snow of Streator and Kevin (Denise) Snow of Streator; grandchildren, Lucas (Stephanie) Henkel, Nicholas (Megan) Henkel, Kurt (Jennifer) Snow, Kyle (Nicole) Snow, Keri (Chad) Kalebich, Rachel (Mark) Lansford, Brandon (Tabitha Dumyahn) Verchimak, Allan Snow, Alexis Snow, Hannah Snow, Jennifer (Jeramy) Lenhausen, Jackie (Erik) Heideneich, Adam Snow and Andy Snow; great grandchildren, Lily, Emma, Aaden, Adalyn and Olivia Henkel; Sophia, Drake, Bella and Blake Snow; Hazel and Violet Kalebich; Logan and Elliot Lansford; Sydney Verchimak; Ashley, Chelsy and Lucy Lenhausen; Johnathan and Taylor Heidenreich; a step-great grandson, Roman Reynolds; a sister, Nedra Price of Oswego; a sister in law, Pat Flanigan of Minonk; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Terry Snow and Donald Snow; a great grandson, Tanner Snow; and a brother, Marion Snow.
He attended Dwight High School.
He worked through the years as a mechanic for John Deer Implement. He was also a self – employed mechanic. He served as the Road Commissioner in Newton Township for 26 years. He had also previously worked for Margraf Materials Rock Quarry.
