Pamela Jean (Jenkins) Amell, 67, of Streator passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 2nd at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 2nd at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Born November 29, 1955 in Borger, Texas she was the daughter of Joe Frank and Dorothy Ann (Vaurecka) Jenkins.
She is survived by a daughter, Wendy (Eric Flanery) Despinis of Streator; grandchildren, Christian Despinis of Streator and Natalie Pouk of Streator; her mother, Dorothy (Albert) Krutilek; sisters, Linda Jenkins, Shirley Cooper and Heather Lynn Washington; brothers, Joe Jenkins III, David Jenkins and Stephen Jenkins; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Theresa Inez Mesker.
She was raised in Tupelo, Mississippi and moved to Streator when she was a teenager. She graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1976.
She worked for Tuscarora Plastics for over 20 years until the plant closed. She later worked for Clover Technologies until her retirement.
Pam was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who always looked out for everyone and was willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved her dog Lily and her late puppies, Coco and Bandit. She enjoyed her house plants and in the summer, planting flowers outdoors. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
