Patricia A. Buck

  Patricia A. Buck, 85, of Streator passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Streator.

  A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 27, 2022 at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

  Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator.  Cremation Rites have been accorded. 

  Born August 21, 1936 in Streator, she was the daughter of John and Anne (Obrotha) Nemchik.  She married Lewis Buck on October 5, 1957 at St. Stephen’s Church in Streator.  He preceded her in death on January 20, 1997.

  She is survived by her daughters, Deb (Kim) Sergeant of Wenona, Kathy (John) Buccafurri of Wenona; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Blanchette of Wenona, Joshua Sergeant of Streator and great grandchildren, Harlow and Sterling Sergeant.

  She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents: and a sister, Mary Thompson.

  Born and raised in Streator, she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in 1954.

  Patricia was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator as an EKG Technician for many years.

  She was a member of the former of St. Stephen’s Church and was a current member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.  She was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  Patricia was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending social time with her friends. She also liked sharing stories with her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

  Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
