Patricia L. Wright, 73, of Streator passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at her residence in Streator.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 19th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 19th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

  Born February 16, 1952 in Salem she was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Muhleman) McLaughlin.  She married Timothy J. Wright on August 2, 1975 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Salem.  He preceded her in death on November 12, 2021.

  She is survived by a daughter, Heather (Jerry) Dennis of Streator; sons, Stephen (Amy) Wright of Granger, Iowa and Michael (Tracy) Wright of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Kylie Dennis, Zoey Smith and Ava Smith; sisters, Betty (Charles) Parker of Big Timber, Montana, Loretta (the late Edward) Garich of Allen, Texas and Rose Mary (Charles) Sens of St. Louis, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Kay McLaughlin.

  Born and raised in Salem she attended Salem grade schools and graduated from Salem High School.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University.  She later attended Illinois Valley Community College to become a C.N.A.

  She worked as a grade school teacher in Arizona and later in the Streator school system. 

  She lived in Salem, Arizona and Streator through the years.

  She was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church. 

  She was an active volunteer and enjoyed serving her church and community.  She belonged to St. Vincent DePaul, Guardian Angel Outreach, Easter Seals and the Franciscan Friars.  Pat was very musically talented and enjoyed singing, playing the piano and organ. She was a member of the church choir.  She also taught CCD.  She also enjoyed attending Light of the World and Christ Renews His Parish retreats and other retreats at the Kings House.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
