Penny L. Greider

Penny L. Greider, 61, of Streator passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at her residence in Streator.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born September 24, 1959 in Strawn she was the daughter of Jean (Sleeth) and Pompie Burton Sr.

She is survived by a son, Jake (Stephanie) Greider of Mt. Morris, Illinois; daughters, Abby Greider of Springfield and Macayla (Tyler) Wagner of Mosinee, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Mason Gladhill, Beau Greider and Blakely Greider; sisters, Paula (Mark) Beal of Forrest and Peggy (Bill) Wilson of Brimfield; and a brother, Pompie Burton Jr. of Forrest.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pamela Frase.

Born and raised in Strawn she attended Strawn Grade Schools and graduated from Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School in the class of 1977.

She has lived in the Strawn, Forrest and Pontiac areas through the years moving to Streator 5 years ago.

She worked through the years for Donnelly’s and NAPA both in Pontiac and she was currently working for Teleperformance in Streator.

She was a talented seamstress and made many costumes and blankets for her family. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
