Phillip G. Black, 66, of Streator passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at O.S.F. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, February 13th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 4-6 P.M. Thursday, February 13th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Born January 13, 1959 in Rantoul, he was the son of George and Sandra Sue (Fowler) Black.
He is survived by a daughter, Hali Black of Streator; a grandson, Brantley Mills of Streator; a sister, Debra (Glenn) Odle of Blanchester, Ohio; half siblings, Leah (Ed) Beasley of Illinois and Jeffrey (Autumn) Black of Illinois; an adopted sister, Mary (Mike) Patton of Decatur and a step-sister, Pamela Thomas of Illiopolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two step-sisters, Donna and Del Ramsey.
He attended Decatur schools and graduated from Eisenhower High School in Decatur.
Following high school he served in the United States Army.
He worked in Sales through the years, most recently for Promier Sales. He also previously worked for Marseilles Mattress Factory.
Phillip loved his dog Charlie, fishing and especially his grandson, Brantley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
