Phyllis M. Bryant, 89, of Streator passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Pavilion of Ottawa in Ottawa, Illinois.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, July 24th at the St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.  

  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.

  Born March 22, 1936 in Streator she was the daughter of John and Ella Mae (Gidding) Mitchell. She married Clarence A. “Larry” Bryant on April 18, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria.  He preceded her in death on February 28, 2016.

  She is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Jim) Eustice of Ottawa; sons, Michael Bryant of Easton, Maryland, Kevin (Julie) Bryant of Easton, Maryland and Dennis Bryant of North Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Elise Bryant of Norfolk, Virginia, Steven Bryant of Streator, Brenden Bryant of Easton, Maryland, Sydney Eustice of Peru; Bryant and Carly Eustice of Ottawa; great grandchildren, Mason and Lacy Bryant; a sister in law, Claudette Mitchell; several nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Patrick Bryant and a brother, Raymond Mitchell.

  She was a graduate of Streator High School and was very active on the Reunion committee for her class for many years.

  She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  Phyllis worked various jobs through the years including, Owens Illinois Glass and Kline’s Department store.  She also spent several years working at Solon Funeral Home assisting the funeral directors, a job she really enjoyed. 

  Phyllis and her husband Larry enjoyed many good years together.  They enjoyed dinners out at the Knights of Columbus.  In the later years she was Larry’s caretaker.
