Rafael G Vazquez, 91, of Streator passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flanagan. 

  Graveside services will be held at a later date.  Cremation rites will be accorded. 

  Born October 25, 1934 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Santos Guzman and Georgina Vazquez.  He married Margarita Rodriguez.  

  He is survived by two daughters; a son and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, two daughters and a son.

  Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he moved to New York in his twenties.  He served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  After his service, he moved to Streator and worked for ConRail (Consolidated Rail Corporation) for many years until his retirement in 1996. 

  Rafael enjoyed gardening and playing dominos.  He liked to watch all kinds of wrestling, especially the WWE.  He will be missed by his family and friends.
