Ralph A. Mitchell

  Ralph A. Mitchell, 69, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in Ottawa.

  Cremation rites were accorded.  Burial will be at a later date in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.

  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

  Born November 13, 1955 in Ottawa he was the son of Ralph and Betty (Skaggs) Mitchell.  He married Mary Jane Mathis.  She preceded him in death on October 20, 2001. 

  He is survived by sons, Mark Mitchell of Ottawa and Matthew Mitchell of Ottawa; a daughter, Emily (Dave) Pender of Peru; a grandchild, Percival Pender of Peru; and sisters, Sherill Dougherty, Shellie Olesen and Tamara Sipula.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his mother in law, Nellie Ann Mathis.

  Ralph had various jobs including Owens Illinois Glass Company and a job as a Utility Locator.
