Raymond T. Talbott

Raymond T. Talbott, 63, of Kangley passed away Saturday morning (December 28, 2019) at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator with the rosary recited at 6:45 P.M.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Talbott was born November 19, 1956 in Monmouth the son of Raymond and Ana (Rios) Talbott. He married Jill Blomberg August 14, 1982 in Oregon, Illinois. She survives.

Ray had been employed for over 20 years as a Juvenile Probation Officer for LaSalle County. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Bears fan, and loved to golf and travel. He graduated from Immaculate Conception grade school, Monmouth, Monmouth High School and in 1978 he received his degree in Criminal Justice from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife Jill, two sons, Alexander (Alyssa) Talbott, Hillside and Daniel (Katelyn) Talbott, Champaign, one daughter, Kerri Talbott, Roseville, four grandchildren, Zander and Zayden Meier, Delilah Horner and Raymond Daniel Talbott, two sisters Anna (Randy) Bunger, Plainfield and Linda (Joe) Harbour, Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mary Catherine Talbott.

Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Ramp Builders, Streator or a charity of the donor’s choice.
