Richard R. Burash, 69, of Streator passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at O.S.F. St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born August 14, 1956 in Streator he was the son of Andrew and Joann (Clark) Burash.

  He is survived by his son Paul of Oregon; daughters Jamie (Ryan) Cunningham of Streator and Julie (Ray) Crew of Magnolia; 4 grandchildren; his partner, Diane Johnston of Streator; his sisters, Monica Burash of Streator and Susie (Richard) Stehl of Streator; brothers, Andrew Burash of Grand Ridge, Mike (Trisha) Burash of Sycamore, Danny Burash of Peru, and John (Noel) Burash of Florida; many nieces and nephews also survive. 

  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sherry Holt.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School.

  He worked for Dan Crampton’s body shop for many years.  He later worked for Vactor Manufacturing until his retirement.

  Rick was a man of deep faith and formerly belonged to St. Stephen’s Church.

  He loved cars of all types and enjoyed going to car shows.  He also loved to fish. 

  He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
